Arizona homeowners, did you know there’s a FREE wa Arizona homeowners, did you know there’s a FREE way to get alerts about potential deed fraud?

Arizona recently introduced the Early Real Estate Sales Alert System (ERAS), a free tool designed to help property owners identify potentially unauthorized home sales before they close.

What is deed fraud?
Deed fraud happens when someone uses forged documents or impersonates a property owner to attempt to sell or transfer real estate without their permission.

How can Arizona homeowners protect themselves?
The new ERAS program allows homeowners to register their property information and receive alerts when a matching pending sale is submitted to the system by an escrow officer.

Here’s how to get started:
1. Visit earlyalert.azre.gov
2. Register your property information
3. Choose how you’d like to receive alerts
4.
The system doesn’t prevent every type of real estate fraud, but it’s another free resource worth knowing about.

Whether you own a primary residence in Scottsdale, a vacation home in North Scottsdale, or an investment property in Phoenix, consider signing up.

Save this post for later and share it with an Arizona homeowner who might not know about this!
