Not every home for sale in Scottsdale makes it to Not every home for sale in Scottsdale makes it to Zillow and sometimes the right opportunity is found before it ever hits the public market.

That’s exactly how one of my buyers found their home. Through relationships, agent-to-agent networking and knowing where to look, we were able to uncover an off-market property that fit what they were searching for.

If you’re thinking about buying a home in Scottsdale or the Phoenix area, your search doesn’t have to stop with what you see online.

I’m constantly keeping an eye on upcoming listings, private opportunities and homes that may never make it to the major real estate apps.

Want access to off-market homes in Scottsdale? Send me a DM with “OFF MARKET” and I’ll add you to my list.

Can you buy a house without a Realtor? Absolutely. Can you buy a house without a Realtor? Absolutely.

But finding the house is only one small part of actually buying it.
There’s figuring out what the home is really worth, writing a competitive offer, negotiating price and terms, reviewing disclosures, navigating inspections and repairs, watching deadlines, and knowing when something doesn’t look quite right.

My job isn’t just to open the door. It’s to help you make a smart purchase and protect your interests from the first showing all the way to closing.

So yes, you *can* do it yourself.

But much like gas station sushi… sometimes having someone who knows what they are doing is the better move. 😂

Thinking about buying a home in Scottsdale or the Phoenix area? Send me a message. 🤍

Start exploring the Scottsdale Greenbelt, Old Town Scottsdale and McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Find your go-to coffee shop and restaurants. Join a workout studio, run club or local event. And don’t forget the less exciting things like updating your Arizona driver’s license and learning your new commute.

Moving to a new city can take a minute to feel like home, but finding your favorite places and your people makes all the difference.

Save this Scottsdale newcomer checklist for later and if you’re thinking about moving to Scottsdale, send me a DM. I’m always happy to be a resource for Scottsdale neighborhoods, homes and local life.

Waiting for mortgage rates to drop before buying a Waiting for mortgage rates to drop before buying a home? Here’s the part that gets left out of that conversation:

A lower interest rate doesn’t automatically mean it’ll be a better time to buy.

If mortgage rates come down, more buyers may enter the market which can mean more competition and less negotiating power. And your interest rate is only one part of what determines whether buying a home makes sense for you.

Purchase price, down payment, seller concessions, property taxes, homeowners insurance, HOA fees and your overall monthly mortgage payment all matter, too.

So, is now a good time to buy a home in Scottsdale?

There isn’t one answer for everyone.

The better question is: Does buying make sense for you right now?

If the home fits your life, the monthly payment is comfortable, and the timing makes sense for where you’re headed, you don’t necessarily need to wait for the “perfect” mortgage rate.

And if the numbers don’t work? Waiting may absolutely be the right decision.

Thinking about buying a home in Scottsdale, Phoenix or Paradise Valley but unsure whether now is the right time? Send me a message. We can look at your options and figure out what actually makes sense for you, no pressure!
